In the world of Call Me by Your Name, this sort of behavior is literal, and it's abusive.
The movie contributes little to the urgent contemporary project of diversifying representation. Yet, for two hours and change, Call Me By Your Name is an overwhelmingly pleasant and seductive place to live. How can any review rightfully describe Call Me By Your Name? Call Me by Your Name is not an "us versus them" movie. There are no antagonists in the film. This movie makes you forget about your location and your problems by getting you into this different reality full of feelings and aesthetic.
