"Billy Elliot" is the flip side of "Girlfight." While the recent American film is about a girl who wants to be a boxer and is opposed by her macho father but Still, the movie is as much parable and fantasy as it is realistic. The character of the transvestite Michael in particular seems based more on wishful. Billy Elliot in my opinion Billy Elliot is a brilliant movie, easily one of the best movies of the year and most likely of the current decade.
Those who have lost faith in the British Film Industry, prepare to have it. The key to Billy Elliot's success is its deceptive simplicity; in telling this story of a boy who wants to swap his boxing gloves for ballet tights, Daldry has eschewed the regular dance. But it's the best British movie for years - and certainly more movingly told than "The Full Monty".

Every moment in Billy Elliot hooks in its audiences. The movie combines Billy's process to fulfil his ambition through great effort and the community's struggles against. Today this movie still stays popular as a household film.
